Art
inspires me to connect and re-connect, back to myself, my environment
and community within a conscious and responsible state of presence
and awareness.
I desire to give and help others,
and experience the lasting connection and deep satisfaction of
meaningful and fulfilling work that mirrors and validates my deepest
inner values and greater truths.
Returning to craft, to my hands and
heart, and to the earth is important to me as this reflects the
cyclical nature of my life and my connection to the past and sense
of recreation.
I am fascinated with books; their
construction, vast history, functionality and content. I use books
as a medium for my visual poetry and art-making process.
I am interested with the relationship
of the viewer to the book, and also the relationship between image
and word. This dynamic compels me to delve deeper, and explore
more of the boundaries of text and image; especially through other
art forms, in particular, Installation Art.
